SIRIX is an innovative forex trading platform developed by forex-related software provider Leverate. SIRIX main characteristic includes its integrated social trading system and store, as well as versatile web-based interface. But that is not all there is about SIRIX. Here we are going to bring you a review of SIRIX webtrader, along with its advantages and disadvantages.

sirix webtrader

As a web-based forex trading platform, we do not have to put up with the hassle of downloading and installing it. We just have to access SIRIX through our browser, and  that's that. This is a plus for SIRIX, if not for the fact that it practically weighs a ton. The first thing we noticed when trying out SIRIX through its official site is that it needs a little time to load. It might not be a trouble for forex traders that resides in advanced countries, but it will be a bother for those who has to subsist on low bandwidth, speed, and patchy internet connection.

SIRIX Webtrader Interface

SIRIX appearance is quite sophisticated and bold. We like how the five section of the forex trading platform is divided, with buttons to expand or collapse each section when needed. Note that there are at least five sections on SIRIX: Quotes on the left side, Chart in the middle, and Multipurpose section on the right. There is also Order list and history at the bottom and a list of options in the Menu Bar at the top.

SIRIX
Starting from the Menu Bar, there is Economic Calendar integrated in SIRIX, so trader does not have to keep own calendar when trading. If one needs to know when is the next high-impact news, just click on the option in Menu Bar, and then an Economic Calendar will appear. The calendar could be adjusted based on timezone, and user could also filter the result.

Beside of the Calendar, there is Black/White theme change button, one-click trading activation button, and order menu. If you would like to trade with language other than English, there are also 19 other languages you could choose, including Mandarin.

Starting from the left side, there is Quotes section where you could choose whether to display currency pair quotes in a list or in cubes. Cubes display make it easier to sell and buy any pair of your choice.

SIRIX
The next section, dead-center in SIRIX interface is the heart of forex trading: a chart. This is where SIRIX come short again. There are a choice of nine timeframes, but SIRIX apparently does not enable trader to show multiple charts at the same time. As well, the list of indicators provided by SIRIX deviates slightly from what is available in Metatrader4. Even more, some of those indicators might sounds as unfamiliar to you as it is for us (for this matter, have you ever heard about Gopalakrishnan Range Index or Aroon Oscillator?). SIRIX also does not enable us to attach our self-made or third party indicator.

SIRIX
However, order features is similar to other kinds of forex trading platform. There are One Click Order as mentioned above, then there is also pending order choices as usual with S/L and T/P setting.

At the right side of the chart, there are four symbols which if being clicked then each would display a specific feature on the right-most section of SIRIX platform.

SIRIX
The first feature is social trading system that shows top-ranked and featured trader in the system, as well as transactions occured within it.  The second feature is news alert, and the third features Trading Central. Trading Central is a leading investment research provider that gives out analysis and recommendation for traders. The last feature is SIRIX store that provides indicators and other trading assortments to be enjoyed in SIRIX Platform. Currently, SIRIX Store is still in beta.

Well, those are a brief review of SIRIX general features. Now on to the next part about SIRIX advantages and disadvantages. Of course, each trader might have different opinion on what makes an experience good or bad; as they say, each to their own. However, you might want to consider these points before stepping out to try SIRIX.

SIRIX Disadvantages

  • Heavy load. It needs good and steady internet connection to start, and it is not advisable to open other heavy pages in the same browser at the same time you open SIRIX. However, we only tried SIRIX web-version, and it might not be the same with mobile and tablet version.

  • Unusual indicators. SIRIX do provides common technical indicators like Moving Averages and MACD, but most of the indicators provided will be quite unfamiliar for old-school traders. On the other hand, if you are open to try out new stuff, then SIRIX will be suitable for you.

  • Over-crowded interface. At first glance, SIRIX might seem bright and unobstructed, but when we tried to use it, it felt somehow cramped. For one thing, space for the chart is relatively narrow, and although we could expand it, the action will close-off other features of the platform that we might need at the same time.

SIRIX Advantages

  • It does not need PC installation. It also comes in mobile and tablet version, so those who live in fast-paced day job should be able to conveniently use SIRIX to trade.

  • It integrates economic calendar and newsfeed. Economic calendar and newsfeed in forex trading platform is especially nice because traders might not have to keep another desktop open or repeatedly close platform windows in order to check up on to the latest news.

  • Social trading system, Trading Central analysis, and SIRIX Store are all easily accessible within the forex trading platform. SIRIX effectively shorten the twists and turns we need to take in order to join a certain social trading system. If you are a copy trading fan, then SIRIX is a must-try.

Overall, SIRIX offers a fresh forex trading experience. If you are feeling bored with the same old trading platform, then SIRIX might excite you again. SIRIX has proved its competitive edge by adding more and more forex traders and brokers among its associates. At the latest count, it already has a community consists of around 100,000 traders. Are you interested? Don't worry, SIRIX is also available in demo, so you could do some trial-and-error first to see whether it suits your taste or not. SIRIX is not yet common, but several brokers have provided this brand-new forex trading platform; among them are: Forex Broker Inc, LiteForex, and FXPrimus, etc You could also check it up through SIRIX official site.
